The Best Bakery Breakfast in Japan

Did you know that Japan is well known for their bread? Well I didn't! Trust me when I say that this plain white bread was anything but plain! Toasted thick and fluffy, it was a beautiful complement to the eggs and salad. That is another cool thing about Japan -- breakfast is served with salad. The salad was such a refreshing way to start the day, not to mention that it was already beginning to get hot outside. (Tokyo at the end of May is hotter than you may think) The eggs were fluffy and moist and tasted great dipped into the sauce. They also offered an abundance of drinks, but their lemonade was quite good. Japanese lemonade tends to need more sugar for me, but I think it’s cool that it is offered hot or cold. I tried both versions, but the iced lemonade is shown below.

Out of the 5 days spent in Tokyo, we had breakfast here twice. (Yes, I begged to because I loved it so much) If you're ever at Yebisu Garden Place make sure to check out Bakery & Cafe! There is a bakery attached to the cafe and outside deck eating area. The bakery smelled heavenly and sold bread and pastries.
