4/27/20 -- Quarantine Day 39

Today after my run I really wanted to eat the frozen Trader Joe's sweet potato fries in the freezer. As I was sitting waiting for the oven to preheat, as one does, I decided I wanted garlic aioli. So, onto Allrecipes I went! I found this super easy recipe, and boy is it delicious!

Ingredients:

3/4 cup mayonnaise

3 cloves garlic, minced

2.5 tablespoons lemon juice

3/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

Directions:

Mix all ingredients in a bowl. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.

*Make sure the aioli chills in the fridge to ensure that the lemon juice is absorbed. Also, I would cut down on the garlic and use one to two cloves. It was an overpowering flavor. I used half a lemon, but you could definitely use more lemon if you want it to be tangier.

Garlic aioli is so versatile. I love it as a dip, on sandwiches, on burgers, and with crab cakes. This recipe is a fun, doctored up mayonnaise.
